As part of my new year's resolution, one of my goals is to create a more interactive blog. For the past few years of blogging, I felt that I did not spend enough time socializing and being part of the blogging community. Partly because creating blog posts themselves already took up a majority of my time and making any more time was challenging while juggling school work. For someone who is not as outspoken as others, I also find socializing even more difficult. This year, I have decided to put more effort in communication and building relationships. Although fashion is what initially pushed me to publish this blog, your support as my readers is what allows me to sustain and maintain this blog. I have always said that my inspiration comes from other bloggers like myself. Therefore, I have decided to start a monthly series of posts to feature my top five current and new blogs I follow.
Supporting each other allows us to grow.
I hope you like this new idea! Please let me know your input on whether you think this is a good idea or not. Or whether you have tried this yourself. I will be on the search for blogs to feature so feel free to share any that you know with me or if you would like to nominate yourself. Otherwise, please check out these blogs I love below (ranked in no particular order).
The cold weather has me uninspired. There is going to be a winter storm tomorrow and it may be our big snowstorm for the season. It has not snowed much yet so I am excited for it. However, it has been way too cold for me to want to shoot any winter wear. I am also afraid of running a cold as traveling from hot to cold (vacation) has already made me a bit congested. My family and I are also in the middle of a move. This may or may not our last full week living in our home, then we will permanently be living at the shore house. As I sit at home typing this, I know I am going to miss it very much as I have lived here almost my whole life and have made so many memories in it. Despite it being in the suburbs, it is conveniently located in the middle of everything when it comes to commuting in New Jersey. Many of my friends lives nearby too. I hope that the new owners will enjoy and cherish this house as much as my family and I have.
Although I do not have any winter outfits to share, I do have photos I have been waiting to upload after the magazine they were featured in was realized but forgot about because it has been so long. These photos were taken back in May when I had my quick photo shoot with Cosmopolitan for their monthly 'confessions' section for October 2015. It was seriously very quick; shoot and go. I got to share a few of my stories and my fall style. You also read
my confession here on their website.
How have you started off the new year? I would love to hear your thoughts!

I am back from my trip to the Caribbean! My skin has definitely tanned from spending a whole week in the sun and now I have returned to the cold in Jersey. I feel it has been so long since I last posted and I was not sure what I should share with you all first. However, I was suddenly inspired to tell you about my favorite foundation so here it is! And yes, I still use it despite getting a tan.
REVIEW
MAYBELLINE FIT ME MATTE + PORELESS FOUNDATION in Pure Beige (235) - I first discovered this foundation from beauty gurus on Youtube who raved about this product a couple of months after it had already came out. I was on the search for a foundation that matched my skin tone and one that I could use on a regular basis. After shopping around for about two weeks, I found myself liking this drugstore liquid foundation the most after trying on several brands and shades. The reason I bought this particular foundation originally was because I needed a foundation with medium coverage for combination/oily skin. Now in the first month or two, I was not completely happy because I noticed that the color I bought was slightly too orange for my face. Then when I purchased a second one that matched my skin better, but I noticed that I was getting dry patches in certain areas. I was not quite sure if it was due to the change in products I was using for my acne or the foundation itself so I stopped it for a while. A month or two later, I decided to start using it again. I noticed that it was not really giving me dry patches anymore!
Ever since, I have been using this foundation til this day and I am still on the same bottle. There is a lot of product in it so a little goes a long way and it is build-able. I only wish that it had a pump instead of having to pour it out. I would like to also note that it is important to moisturize your skin before using it. Do not choose this foundation if you have dry skin or if you use products that dry your skin because it will show through the foundation. Otherwise, the foundation does what it claims such as minimizing pores and has a large selection of shades to choose from. I wear this when I am going to work, parties, dinner outings, shopping, and pretty much everywhere.

Happy new year to all! The past year has been filled with wonderful memories. Although I did not spend the year of 2015 traveling internationally, I did travel domestically and accomplished so many things but not without challenges.
The beginning of 2015 started off with a road trip to Florida, began my first year of clinic (externship) outside of school, traveled to San Antonio for a convention, began my research, received a few scholarships, traveled to Denver for a leadership program, spent a semester working in the city, visited Minnesota, obtained awesome blog collaborations, and created a new name and concept for the blog. Now I am back in Florida to end a year and begin another. In a few days, I will be on a cruise to the Carribean with my family and boyfriend. I am so excited!
I have worked very hard all year to get where I am now and I am very proud of it. Yet I had to sacrifice time with friends because of it. I hope I can make up for lost time with this new year. I even had to stop working because it did not fit with my schedule so I could not earn money and spend as I pleased. As I approach my last year in graduate school, I want to become more experienced in my field, stay fit, become more independent, and appreciate the time I have with family and friends.
I am thankful for those who have stayed by my side and given me endless support. Looking forward to another great year and I hope you do too! Now enjoy this collage of outfits I have worn throughout the year of 2015.
