Getting Ready for Nowhere

I used to not have many brown pieces in my wardrobe until I started collecting more neutrals. I found these pants on sale at Uniqlo and also purchased another pair in a lighter color because they are stretchy and comfortable. I only wish they sold them in petite because the length is always too long on me. Even though spring is here, the days have still been cold so my thicker sweaters are continuously on rotate. I actually have no where to go in this casual attire but I was playing around in my closet during the quarantine and decided to take some photos for the blog to share my finds with you all. Please excuse my bare face as I am trying to give it a break from make up while I am home. This is an outfit I would typically wear out on a regular day if I just want to be comfortable while getting groceries, doctor’s appointment, or visiting a friend in 40-50 degree weather. Mango also had a decent winter coat sale although the sale is now gone (if you guys are interested, I can keep updated with sale alerts) so I bought a couple of them that I hope to share before the weather gets warmer.

Speaking of going no where and staying home because we are all practicing social distancing, I hope you all are still doing what you can to maintain good hygiene even though you are not going out. I know this is a difficult time for everybody and I would like to thank all our doctors, nurses, health care workers, teachers, school faculty, delivery drivers, grocery store workers, sanitation workers, and all those working out there helping us stay afloat. It is still important to keep clean and disinfect at home so that everyone in the household stays healthy and if you do need to leave the house to get groceries or go to the doctor, you are not spreading germs to other people. Sharing some friendly good hygiene reminders here:

  • Wash you hands for at least 20 seconds and make sure you clean in between your fingers and fingernails. Then moisturize with lotion.
  • If you prefer hand towels over paper towels like me, wash them more often than you think.
  • Do not forgot to do the same with your bed sheets.
  • If you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth in the crease of your elbow.
  • Disinfect your light switches, remotes, door knobs, faucet handles, and counter tops.
  • Disinfect your car steering wheel, door handles, buttons, and even your keys.
  • Disinfect your phone! Basically, anything you hold on a daily basis needs disinfecting.
  • Try to avoid having to reuse the same clothes your wear outside and was them more often than you are used to.
