The Hotel Londres Saint-Honore is a small hotel hidden in a quiet corner by a church. The window in the hotel room opens up to a nice little view of the street, which is not too congested with honking cards. European hotels are known for their narrow stairs and unfortunately, this one had a narrow twisted staircase with the tiny elevator located on the second floor up. It is a bit of a hassle but doable if you are searching for a decently priced hotel. The room was decorated with outdated wooden furniture and was slightly cramped because of the double beds in order to fit four people. The bathroom was slightly larger than expected despite the small room, allowing enough space for the sink, toilet, and bathtub. The only problem was that the bathroom entrance has tight swinging doors that do not lock and can become quite annoying to walk in and out from. In addition, be aware that anything you take from the refrigerator may appear on the bill. However, this is not uncommon at other hotels. I would recommend this hotel to couples rather than families. An encounter I made the first night at the hotel was someone at the desk who was not the most welcoming or helpful to me. I feel that it is only polite to greet guests with a smile and ask for help if they are struggling on the stairs. I also feel that they could try to give guests suggestions of nearby places to eat when asked or at least show some effort to help find a place rather than giving off the impression of carelessness. I reiterate that this was my experience with just one person at the hotel and not all the employees who work there. I will give them the benefit of the doubt as they may have just had an unpleasant day.
Although the hotel was not as luxurious as we expected, the hotel is located near several attractions and the metro is in front of the Jardin de Tuileries. The are many more attractions if you decide to spend more time walking around to take in the view rather than taking the subway such as Champ-Elysees and the Opera.
