Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

Hello, everyone. I am sorry I have not been posting, but last week I lost power due to Hurricane Sandy. Luckily my family and I are all safe. My shore house (my second home), on the other hand was not as fortunate (broken garage, heater, AC, hole in the wall) but did not suffer as much damaged compared to others. Although, the town where my shore house resides requires a lot of rebuilding. So much was destroyed that it is going to take several years. It has been a week since the hurricane and only today that my parents had the chance to be allowed into town just to check on our house and collect a few things. This is the first time I have experienced such a disaster this serious. It made me truly understand the sadness and emotions running through those who have lost so much due to natural disasters.

Just thought I would make a post about this. Let you all know what's been going on. The first photo is a picture of one of the houses that was crushed by the hurricane. The photos from my outfit post before this were literally taken the day before the hurricane hit. The second photo above is all the debris on that same road after the flooding resided a bit. I hope anyone else who is reading this and was affected by Sandy is safe and doing alright. Thank you once again to everyone who continues to follow and support my blog. Will hopefully be back with some new outfit or inspirational posts.
