New and Old

Another year has gone by so quickly but I am exciting for what 2014 will bring! It has been more than 2 years since I started blogging here on Aetherlily. I thought I would round up all my favorite 2013 outfits to close off the year so read more to have a look!

The past year has been a bumpy ride but I made it into another chapter of my life. I do not usually like to get too sappy on the blog but I want to take this post to reflect on the year 2013. I started off the year in Vegas for a family reunion, which was a blast but as the rest of January rolled in, it became stressful because I had to send in my graduate applications. I was really nervous about whether I would get in or not. I graduated a semester early from undergraduate school in January so I kept myself busy with work but also had more time to spend with this blog. I had the most amazing opportunity to be a correspondent during New York Fashion Week for the BCBG Max Azria and Herve Leger shows, and helped promote the launch of Adidas NEO Label here in the US. However, my biggest accomplishment was getting accepted into graduate school to pursue my doctorate of Audiology. During the summer, I spent a lot of time by the shore, took a road trip to Montreal, and partied with friends. Once September rolled in, it was time for me to get serious with my academics. I did not realize how busy I would be because I thought it would be like undergraduate school except it involved more studying. I was right about the studying but I had to spend more time at school working on labs and big assignments, completing my on- and off- campus observation hours, commuting, and squeezing in time to work for allowance. Typing that out does not seem like a lot but it did consume much of my time. Though I am not complaining. I enjoy having work to do and feeling busy, just not the stress. I am ending the year with the first semester off my chest and opportunities of working with well known designers like Carlo Pazolini and Tommy Hilfiger, who opened up new stores in New Jersey. I am so thankful for what I have been able to accomplish and those who have helped me reach those accomplishments (this includes you all who read my blog).

Happy New Year everyone!
