Rain Forest Meets Suburban City

Feeling tropical so I thought I would change up my look with a rain forest meets suburban city attire. Clever right? I felt the theme was appropriate due to the earthy colors, vibrant prints, and types of jewelry I was wearing. I will be heading to Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod for a few days with my family as our mini vacation for the summer. We plan on driving there and I am hoping the weather remains pleasant. It will be our first time there so if any of you have ever been, let me know your recommendations!

I like reaching for a pair of shorts like these when I am looking for color and prints to brighten up my outfits, despite my love for minimal pieces too. I paired it with a cropped jacket because at night, it gets pretty chilly. Yet a still keep matters simple with jewelry like with this lovely teardrop pendant from Michael Hill and beautiful button pearl earrings from Pearl & Clasp.
